About the Yacht - S/Y Duplexity

The Elan 450 Performance benefits from the VO70 inspired twin rudders and broad open transom, while ensuring unparalleled comfort below and on deck. Designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, Elan 450 is intended for sailing yachtsmen who choose not to compromise on sailing performance, stability, control or level of comfort. An impressive sail plan with a tall fractional rig (keel stepped mast), increased mainsail area, non-overlapping headsail and large gennaker + Code 0 handled by the retractable bowsprit in carbon maximizes her sailing performance. To increase strenght and reduce weight, hull is made by vacuum asisted lamination technique, bulkhead laminated to hull, deep (300 mm at keel area) and strong bottom grid and sandwich lamination of deck and hull.

Duplexity is custom-made with many special solutions, for example extra wardrobe and extra hatches in floor board for maximum storage. She was delivered and launched in June 2009 with uniqe teak interior, alcantara upholstery, comfort mattresses in all cabins, HiFi sound, TV, WiFi and all electronics with nine colour displays.
